Program Details

  • The program includes hands-on clinical training, radiology training, infection control, chairside assisting techniques, Dentrix software training, CPR/BLS certification, and a 36-hour externship.

  • The program is hybrid. Students attend in-person training on Saturdays and complete online modules during the week.

  • Modern Dental Training of Cumming is located at 2950 Buford Hwy, Suite 190, Cumming, GA 30041.

  • Yes. Students complete a 36-hour externship in a dental office to gain real-world experience.

Cost & Payments

  • Current promotional tuition is $3,500. Tuition increases to $3,800 after August 1, 2026.

  • Yes. Students may choose payment in full, a 13-week in-house payment plan, or third-party financing through Denefits.

  • Yes. Third-party financing may be available through Denefits. Financing approval is not guaranteed, and students who use financing enter into a separate agreement with Denefits.

  • There is a $150 enrollment fee applied toward tuition and a $120 book rental deposit that is refundable upon acceptable return.

  • Modern Dental Training does not guarantee employment, but students receive career assistance including resume preparation, interview coaching, externship placement, and job search resources.

  • Graduates receive a Dental Assistant Certificate, Radiology Certificate recognized in Georgia, and CPR/BLS Certification.

Admissions

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent, provide a valid ID, and complete the enrollment requirements. Must be willing to complete coursework, Saturday training, and externship requirements.

  • The next Dental Assistant Program class begins September 12, 2026.

  • Upon successful completion of the Modern Dental Career Training Dental Assistant Program, graduates receive a Certificate of Completion, CPR/BLS certification, and Dental Radiology (X-Ray) certification upon meeting all course requirements. These credentials prepare graduates for entry-level employment in dental practices.
